As spoken-word artist and Hip Hop forefather Gil Scott-Heron announced he will cancel his planned Tel Aviv gig, scheduled for May 25th due to extreme pressure from Israel boycotters in London, noted Israeli journalist/blogger Guy Hajaj wrote this in YNET (translated from Hebrew by Khen Rotem):

Anton Ostrovski b.k.a M.C Klin of Sadyle (pictured left) is starring in new film The Loners, that premieres this week in theatres all across Israel. In the film he portrays a troubled Russian-born Israeli soldier locked up in a military prison. Jerusalem Post has the story. Good luck

The inimitable Y-Love had visited Israel last week, and gave two dope shows in Jerusalem. Y-Love was supported by Shtar, a live Hip Hop band from Beit-Shemesh, led by Corner Prophets participant Ori Murray and Jewish rockers Hamakor. Sagol 59 was the featured guest on both shows and Corner Prophets alumni Funati Hasid, Eyesis and Crazy Dog were also in the crowd. Here’s some photos.
